SpringSource Application Platform

The team at SpringSource has released a beta version of their java application server based on the spring framework. I’m assuming that the idea is that rather than deploying a large .ear or .war file, smaller components can be deployed and changed at run-time due to extensive usage of dependency injection.

I have a feeling that this container won’t go through the growing pains of EJB. Only time will tell.

Hopefully I’ll find some time to play around with the beta soon.
